What is GABA?

GABA, which is short for Gamma-aminobutyric acid, is an amino acid that serves in the spinal cord as an inhibitory neurotransmitter. GABA is involved in complex circuits that take place in our body's nervous central system. When GABA is connected to a protein in the human brain, it is called a GABA receptor, which produces a relaxing and calming effect. People that suffer from anxiety, stress, or fear can benefit from GABA. Plus, GABA can also decrease the chances of people getting seizures, as well ("Gamma Aminobutyric Acid: Uses and Side Effects of GABA Supplement", 2021).

60 second importance

60 second silence is important, because it gives people time to observe their surroundings, rather than running around. 60 seconds gets people to be more present in their setting. By permitting people a minute to breathe, people can be more rationally and physically present during and after the minute. 60 seconds grant people to let go of what they were previously doing and can help them remain focused. 60 seconds could give people a chance to be clear on what they want from life. It creates more calmness in people' s body and mind with relaxation, which can cause clarity (Natan, 2021).

What is Cortisol?

Cortisol is considered the body's way of having a built-in alarm clock. Cortisol is the body's primary stress hormone. This hormone works with certain parts of the human brain to control the person's disposition, inspiration, and fear. The body's adrenal organs, which are triangular organs at the top of the kidneys, create cortisol. Cortisol is the natural fight-or-flight response during any emergency (Ba & Social Distancing, 2021).
